Surprise Yourself By Taking Chances

BY HEALTHY EATING
How many times have you been in the following situation? You’re trying to persuade someone to do something, and they say “No, I don’t like that”. You ask them how many times they have actually done that thing and they eventually admit they never have, but still maintain that they know they wouldn’t like it. That is the way that many of us behave when it comes to food, and especially healthy food.

The matter of fact is that eating healthily is a process that involves expanding your range little by little. Many of us might have a bellyache when we try something new for the first time, and that is simply because our bodies are experiencing something new!
But this bellyache is not entirely a bad sign, it simply means that we are not used to it. Think about it, the things we have eaten for years were once new to us too, and only after eating it again and again did we realised how much we enjoyed eating them. Eating something new every once in a while allows us to have a whole range of foods that we enjoy and this allows us to always eat something new, and not eat the same boring foods day in day out!

This doesn't mean that you should force yourself to love every food. It is totally okay to have foods that we do not like. However, you’ll never know if you like something until you actually try it. This is particularly true of international cuisine. It may look different, but millions of people eat it regularly, so it can hardly be poisonous. Taking a leap of faith and trying a different food is not going to be the death of you, so why not try something different once a week and surprise yourself with how much you enjoy it?
